This is not tanking

We have had a gm for two years who made this team worse thinking he knows better. Like thinking Permian step in for Robby.

Which JD draft pick has made an impact this year again?

That is one of the few decisions JD messed up. If you look back you’ll see I was a big Robby fan and would have resigned him. There’s not a GM out there that is perfect, if that’s your bar for success prepare to be perpetually disappointed.

JD is in the process of tearing down the team, name which GM would have prevented Mims and Becton (who has looked like a Pro Bowler) from getting injured?

There was none on it last year either.

But starting getting excited, next year it will also have no talent but we'll put Trevor Lawrence on it!

If Joe Douglas has a plan of finding diamonds in the rough, like he is the only one capable of finding talent.. then we are screwed for however long his tenure is. We need to bring in actual proven talent.

Keep Robbie & we don’t get Trevor.
Great job JD. Tankathon is on.

Jim Harbaugh and Trevor Lawrence are about to set this team up for 10+ years of sustained success and you goofs are harping over the current tank job your witnessing.

When was the last time someone posted a Jet future-plan that actually worked just as designed?

This is a complete embarrassment of an organization and it’s fan base. There is a difference. We are so thin, so void of talent, so void of any continuity next year that no 21 year old kid will fix this dumpster fire. Stop fooling yourself, what is happening here is not good in the long term, it’s Gona have negative effects for years

Yes, and the first effect will be Trevor suddenly getting serious about his education and picking up a double major to stay in Clemson beyond his planned December graduation date.

Joe Douglas needs to resign as GM of the NYJ.

He somehow made a bad WR group even worse when it was literally his second most important are of focus.

It's Jamison Crowder and 10 empty green uniforms out there.

This would absolutely be a disaster.

All JD's fault Denzel Mims hasn't seen the field.  All of it.

I expect better than this trash from you.  JD is about to land us pick # 1.  Build the statue now.

Douglas doesnt have much say or power outside of putting together the draft board. Not sure how much of a packaged deal him and Gase are at this point. I've given up in thinking the Jets would bring in a real GM, be visible and make overarching football decisions and be the point person in charge of the football operation. The best we can hope for is Douglas realizes the mistakes he made in this past draft and adjusts his evaluation process. There is no excuse for how poor of a draft this has been.

We've been sh*tty for 9 of the past 10 years. It's already been long term.

The roster is worse than it was when he started the job 18 months ago.  He's got a team culture problem (which was the first thing he said he'd fix).  His HC and DC seem to now be stuck in some kind of passive-aggressive standoff.  He's inexplicably holding onto a bad coach and his roster moves like someone shuffling around deck chairs on the Titanic as it's sinking.

Where is Joe?  I might be wrong but the most recent voice of authority that the media has heard from on the Jets was when owner Christopher Johnson endorsed the head coach. I don't think Joe has come out of his basement in weeks.

If fans want to be honest, they can admit that as much as the Jets may have made bad decisions on the Head Coach and Quarterback it looks like they did it with the GM as well (a GM who seems to have been hired by the HC).

Look, coming into this season there was a chance this team would have to take another step back before it could move forward.  There was an expectation that the Jets probably wouldn't improve on their win total from last year.  But there was almost a guarantee, based on how bad the team was last year, that they'd be just a little more competitive this year.....that they would improve the talent of some position groups from horrible to mediocre or from mediocre to average.

We're now watching a team that isn't just historically bad in terms of Jets history, but in terms of NFL history.  The 1987 Buccaneers may final lose that record for having the worst point differential in history.

Where is the Captain of this ship of fools?

What don’t you understand? JD has ZERO say in the hiring or firing of Adam Gase.

Complain all you want but complain about ownership and this cockamamie organizational structure.

JD should be calling the shots. But, these are the Johnsons we’re dealing with.

They’re stubborn and stupid all at the same time.
