Jet_Engine1
Doesn't work at all with this terrible O line. Just needs to explode to wherever the sliver of a hole is. By the time hes picking where to try and run, hes getting overwhelmed. Not a good fit right now.

Saquan Barkley's running style doesnt work with the Giants terrible Oline as well. RB is the position most dependent on the Oline. This is why it's stupid to pay a RB that money with no Oline. Im not saying that Bell isnt worth it, but unless you're Barry Sanders, you need atleast a semi-competent Oline in order to display your ability. The Jets need to fix the offensive line and this Offense will be drastically different. 3

Look at this guy the 49ers signed from the Falcons. Coleman. Supposedly, that is who Gase really wanted, Bell runs best behind zone blocking. Gase wanted to run power blocking.

funaz
Yeah I agree, but RB performance is 95% based on the oline anyway. You can pick up a guy off the street and do well at rb if you have an oline. It's why you don't draft a rb during the important rounds of the draft 1-3Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using JetNation.com mobile app

Integrity28
This is already being discussed in the game thread, and honestly IMO an irrelevant complaint. Guys, we don't need to keep working so hard to line-item the problems.

RonaldJet
I think he’s hurt, but it doesn’t matter behind this oline. Look at Barkley on the other side.

Saquon Barkley's running style doesn't work behind a bad oline either. A bad oline with a young QB is never a good thing for a RB whether it's Barkley or Bell. DJF71
Maybe thats why Gase didn't want him. Or maybe Gase sucks. Or maybe the OL sucks. Or maybe its all 3.

I get the line is bad but he looks so slow. Combine that with his deliberate style and you can see why he’s averaging 3.1 YPC.

jgb
My friend/mentor always said to me "don't chase money, let money chase you." No one ever gave Bell this advice. Rb Josh Jacobs has a good chance to be OROY , and been a big part of the Raiders success this year. That’s running behind an offense line that has started three different RT’s , three different Rg’s, three different Lg’s, and two different Centers. T0mShane
Averaged 4.0 ypc in 2017 with the Steelers behind an OL that fielded three pro bowl players, including at center and guard. Should have been a red flag.

There's really no point in investing in a RB. There are plenty of RBs out there who can succeed if the OL opens holes.
