CJ Mosely has regretted signing that contract from the moment the ink was dry. Sure, he likes money, but as a competitor I'm sure he thought to himself,  "What the **** did I do?".

His actions since signing show he will take any option available to keep from risking further injury or tarnishing his rep as a player.

I have doubts that he ever plays another down for the Jets.

The Johnson's can be had. Trumaine, Mo, Mosely, Gase, Bowles, Maccagnan etc...the Jets are the early golden parachute for many.

Let's be real here... if you were offered millions of dollars to take the year off of work, would you do it? I'm not saying that he isn't/wasn't concerned about the corona and I respect it, but it's human nature to take the $$$ and the year off...

Huh? He's getting paid this year? I thought if you opted out you dont get paid this year and the contract just gets extended a year. Whats the point of anyone playing then and not just opting out? If he's getting paid while opting out and running around in bars, cut this a hole NOW and disqualify his contract.

He gets his roster bonus money but it comes off the books next year... so instead of 17.5 Cap hit this year its only like 8 or something and like 10 next year or something like that.

They get a stipend and there's some formula for bonus money and whatnot. The stipend is like $200k and may be a bit more depending on the player. I'm not sure about that part.

He already got his bonus. The Jets have paid him like 10 million bucks already.

You get a $150K stipend if you opt out for the season.

No way in hell the guy isn't going out in public, going through drivethrus . He got 10 million in March.

It will now be 2 years when or if he plays again, just another free agent feeding at the trough of the NY Jets.

You gotta stop the free rides, some of you wanted to sign Clowney? WTF, it's like we never learn!

For someone like Mosley it made sense for him to sit out, from a financial perspective.  If the season was cut short he would lose his guaranteed money, which was substantial.

Now that guaranteed money gets push forward to next year.

The Jets have to find a way under his contract to basically claim he "retired" and should not be paid more.

I agree with you completely. I also think he was wasn't 100% healthy no matter what the Jets said. If you go back and read his quotes you never got confidence that he was ready to play.

So therick4444 screen capped a feed from an unknown person (intentionally cropped out) who knows a person who supposedly took a photo of Mosely at a bar in Alabama w/out a mask on the other day. While I do hold therick4444 in high regard, pardon me while I remain skeptical on this one.

Therick4444 another Manish burner account.
