If there’s one good basis for making decisions, it’s doubling down on a mistake that you made.

I think a good owner wouldn’t be held hostage by a player when making a long term organizational decision, but do have to concede that this owner could certainly make that choice.

He got hurt. That’s not a mistake

He’s safe as long as Rodgers supports him and wants to play next year.

I can’t imagine any owner moving heaven and earth for a player and then accepting paying him 100 million for 4 plays.

Why the hell would Rodgers like JD? Instead of using top pick on WR or Oline, he picked a backup DLineman. Sure Aaron wasn’t on board with that pick

He's in his 19th season

This outcome was predictable

People thought because Tom Brady got to 45 that everyone can do it

Rodgers isn't doing the same drugs as Tommy

You predicted he would try to walk with a DE on his back ?

what lotto numbers should I play?

He was very durable in his career and he gets rid of the ball quickly and gets protection from the refs and respect from the defense.

hasn’t missed a game since 2017

That was a normal nfl hit

he played most of the last 2 years hurt. A fact every Rodgers jersey buyer likes to bring up.

Rupturing an Achilles is kinda different.

He didn’t come here and keep missing games because of a bad shoulder sprain.

Oldest NFL QBs

Favre - 41

Brees - 42

Flutie - 43

Moon - 43

Testaverde - 44 (panthers)

Brady -44

Peyton was 40 when he retired and we all remember his serious neck issues

Rodgers is not too old to play

this is a butt hurt narrative and it’s just not true

I was mostly referring to the hiring of Douglas - but tossing nine figures to a 39 year old coming off an injury certainly comes with a reasonable risk of him being injuries as well.

He's 40 and his body failed him why is this so hard to understand?

It's the NFL guys retire alot younger than 40

Games played and rating

2018 - 16, 97

2019 - 16, 95

2020 - 16, 121

2021 - 16, 111

2022 - 17, 91

2023 - dead ?  Lol no

he was clearly trending 16 games and a rating around 90

The idea was to go for a championship like the Broncos and Tampa Bay got.

I’m fine with that plan. Just didn’t work out

Wall Street has a standard disclaimer

Past performance does not guarantee future gains

Guys go over the cliff fast

The fact that he won 2 out of the last 4 MVPs is about as relevant as the price of tea in China

Look at your own stats he's declined every year since 21 that's called getting old

Not sure how you can be a huge Douglas supporter after the crud the Jets have put on tape in the last 12 months.

The offence is an all time disaster zone compounded by the fact that Douglas has swung and whiffed on Wilson.

His record is 24-52 after today's loss. Any other team and he would have been fired. On the Jets he is allowed to bid against himself and mortgage the future to bring in a 39 year old quarterback to save his job.

I would be all for cleaning house the moment the season ends but I suspect that Woody has guaranteed they are all back next year.

Team/franchise is bottom barrel sh*t.

he was given a cluster**** pie.

I like a majority of his drafts.

I like(d) him.….

Show me the successes.

Almost every draft pick is often hurt, overrated, or a flat out bust.

The big scores in free agency/trades have been Rodgers, Lazard, Cook, Davis, Uzomah, Conklin, Tomlinson, Fant, McGovern, and Reed. I count one maybe two players who made a meaningful upside impact on the team.

He did a decent job of tearing the team down. That was the easy part. If judged objectively, his attempt at building the team back up has been nothing short of a disaster.

aside from players who have a history of injury, is it really the GM's fault if players they draft get injured?

He doing the exact ssme drugs that brady did.  The achilles is a freak thing.  No amount of testosterone or hgh will prevent that.

I would argue, yes, injury assessment and projection should be a part of the draft scouting process.

At what point do you stop chalking it up to "bad luck" and start pointing the finger at poor evaluation and process?
