Look the key reason Jets fans liked the selection of Morgan is because of rumors the Patriots were going to take him. And so maybe we pulled one over on them. That’s it because most of us knew little about him in college or had seen him play.

You get unlimited promotions if it's because of a Covid 19 issue with other players.

I doubt it. 

With White having COVID, and old man Flacco gone alongside him, Wilson + Johnson is just too risky.  Wilson has already been hurt once this year.

There is a small, but not zero %, chance that Wilson gets hurt this week, and Flacco/White can't come back the week after.

In that scenario, unlikely tho it is, we'd have to have Johnson and Morgan active as the #1/#2.

Once the COVID brothers come back, that risk is gone, and likely so is Morgan.

Morgan only gets the nod for the PS because he's already familiar with the LaFluer Offense.  No other reason really.

They just wanna yell at Morgan for dealing with the enemy week 1. lol. 

We will see. We are allowed 16 players on the PS so it's not like years past.  It's fine to use an extra spot for a guy you want to keep around while keeping a Flacco on the team for other reasons.

If I was a veteran NFL QB looking to make millions before eventual retirement I would get vaccinated.  I don’t get this.  
 

How did MW get Covid?

As someone in Germany said, soon enough there will be three types of people (could be more than one)-vaccinated, sick and recovered, or dead.  Flacco will one of those three in the near future.

In terms of "crappy", the NFL is a business.  It's not personal. 

"Crappy" things get done every day to players in this league based on business decisions.

It's an entirely moot point, because there is no universe in all the multiverse where JD, who spent a 6th to get Flacco, would turn around and cut Flacco now in order to keep Cap'n Morgan, lol. ?

Yes, at least here in D.C. they certainly do.

Hardcores obsess about everything.  That is why they are Hardcores.

It's just that bad teams fans are always looking for hope somewhere, so we dig a bit deeper than great teams, who generally don't have to care so much about PS players.

i don't see what the problem is.  if they need a qb on sunday and flacco and white can't go then there's not much downside to bringing in a guy who was exposed to lafleur's system.  he's insurance in case johnson can't go.  and as for morgan ever getting a qb job, it's rare but there have been some pretty successful qb's that bounced around a bit joe theisman and rich gannon are a couple examples. sometimes it just takes longer for some guys.

one last point, we've now seen 3 qb's actually move the ball with lafleur's offense.  to me that's pretty good and negates a lot of criticism lafleur got early on.  hopefully wilson learned a bit while riding the pine.

Morgan, Perine and Clark were terrible draft picks.  The analytics demonstrated that that value was at OL and WR in that draft.  See Gabriel Davis and Michael Onwenu.

Johnson is an emergency Covid activation, so will automatically revert to the PS after the game.
