You may not like it, you may not want him but you know you need him

Lots of scouts aren't comfortable with his 31.5 inch arm length. Then you factor in his strength which gets exposed in traditional pass protection sets. His world class film as a zone blocker is the one thing that's keeping him in the discussion as a 1st rounder. I wouldn't be surprised if he fell to the 2nd round. Would the staff be comfortable selecting him then?

Positionally, and given his height and emphasis on technique (ala Mangold), his arm length works to his advantage in everything EXCEPT traditional pass pro, save helmet on helmet assignments. If there is an opportunity for the Jets to get this guy, they're crazy not to.

Thibs at 4, trade down from 10 and grab Burks, then trade up from 2nd round to scoop up Linderbaum.

We're an injury or two away from a sh*t show. Why not finish up the unit, so long as we get 2 more play makers on offense.

Sure grab an edge and LB.  Don't stop the O rebuild. We can't do everything in one off season. Get a few D, the rest can wait until next year.

That’s what the mid rounds are for. Grab someone like cole strange for IOL in the 4th and max Mitchell in the 5th for a backup tackle

There are still plenty who want to take Ekwonu at #4 for f*ck sake, which makes literally zero sense unless you move Becton for a high pick.

And even then I’m not in love with the idea.

At the end of this season, Joe Douglas will have exactly one injury prone tackle on the roster. You don't think that scares him just a little bit?

By every metric McGovern has been solid.

His play immediately improved as soon as we regulated that slapdick Van Roten to the bench in favor of LDT, a completely average RG who is still on the market.

Now McGovern is sandwiched in between AVT and Tomlinson…

I’ve always been a trenches guy, but many in this fanbase has taken it to the extreme.

You need to watch Jets X factor on you tube. Joe Blewett break down film on players. He’s take on McGovern is average to below average Center. I think that’s a fair assessment.
