Popular Post TuscanyTile2
Between a FQB possibly going down for the season in week 1 and the refs getting way too involved, these 1st 2 games brought back a lot of negative associations I have with the NFL. 7
Adoni Beast
That really sucks. Packers were probably going to be contending for the division with Detroit and a Super Bowl sleeper pick.

Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk How many people griped about the MetLife field last season when Aaron Rodgers went down? Quite a few as I recall. It was pretty apparent from the onset of the game last night, that the field was more slippery, then your average NFL field. Was it the cause of Love's injury? Maybe, maybe not. Looks like a Philly defender had him by both ankles, not really much for the field to do in that case.Sent from my Pixel 7 using Tapatalk

They also showed the GB coaching staff working on Love's calves with massaging devices a few times, late in the 3rd quarter, like his calves were cramping, which also could have been a factor.

OilfieldJet
I feel bad for Love, hope he can come back. It sure looked like that injury would have happened on any type of field - he was twisted by the defenders.

"I don't know" is actually the best answer about any injury suffered before the player can be properly examined.

Jetworks
My nurse brain has a hard time understanding a 'pop' of a ligament being visualized from the front of the knee given its anatomical structure. My guess is patella dislocation that spontaneously reduced. Painful for sure, but not season-ending by any stretch.

That being said there is always the possibility its an ACL as well DocFlynn @DocFlynnNFL Jordan Love was injured at the end of the game as he was tackled by a player already on the ground. Love had his left knee examined by the medical staff on the field and was able to walk off with assistance. With that type of injury we worry most about the MCL in the knee and the high ankle. For now, hoping for the best and awaiting news from the team.

Gaffneycatch81
1 hour ago, Mogglez said: From start to finish this was an AWFUL experiment. The league should be embarrassed. Agree. If THAT was showcasing the NFL to broaden it’s appeal, then … I don’t know what to say. Totally sloppy game on a terrible field, with no energy in the stadium, that the refs made into a flag fest. It was a BAD football game. And then one of the up and coming marquee players gets seriously injured on the second to last play? Just ice on the stale, soggy cake.
Beerfish
Bad luck cause injuries more so than fields, every one was bleating about wanting grass fields and even the internet experts like JJ Watt were saying this soccer field was slippery but soft and thus would have soft tissue injures but not serious ones.
