ASH1962 Posted September 3, 2016 Share Posted September 3, 2016 I am a member of several Jets Forums and since JI went AWOL, IMO this is the best board for Jets information and intelligent conversation. I feel most confident here that I can post my opinion without being ridiculed and / or attacked personally by people who I do not know, nor who know me. Also, there is not nearly as much bad language used here as I have seen on other boards. Some of the language they use is downright offensive. I am by no means a Pollyanna, I curse as much as the next guy/gal, however, there is a time and place for everything, not where children can read what you write freely. It's the busiest and most interactive -- but the behavior and bullsh*t this past offseason was disappointing. The Hampur (full of JI renegades) made this place look like the looney ward.... for those who know the Hampur and JI, that's a feat unto itself. There are few posters that derail many threads but they mainly fight with each other - so others can continue with discussion with fear of being attacked for your opinion.. Tried the Hampur for a while after the JI takeover (sellout) and couldn't take the 12 y.o. maturity level at Hampur. You can imagine, no language censorship, nudity is OK, crude humor encouraged, etc.... but since everyone got their rocks off, it settled into a even-keeled message-board - which was spotlighted this offseason with our QB situation. Here, hate mongering know it alls, wanna-be Merlins and Jamie Lanisters.... If you skeptical, look up the "who should start" threads here, and there. It's night and day.
