Then either they never had mono or it went undiagnosed.

You don't risk rupturing your spleen for a couple of games. That is 100% life-threatening.

What's an optimistic time frame for full recovery?  Just rest or will meds speed it up?

Wow...

Not even 2 weeks into the regular season and i'm already over it. I wasn't expecting the jets to set the league on fire, but a well coached and hungry group of improving young players with Bell, Mosley, Crowder, and Osemele would have been fun to watch. But of course, that is way too much to ask for with not enough pain and suffering. Sigh...

This is basically as bad as when Vinny T went down. We haven’t had this much hype/excitement for a season in years and everything imploded this week. Face it, we are cursed. It doesn’t matter who we bring in and Sam was the one glimmer of hope. Let’s hope he just gets well and gets experience this year. What a damn shame.

When Will I Get Better?

Most people start to recover from mononucleosis within 2 weeks, though some symptoms, such as fatigue, can take 3-4 weeks or even longer to go away. So a common treatment plan for mono is rest with a gradual return to normal activity. The goal is to ease your symptoms and treat any complications that happen.

At least a month. I wouldn’t expect him back until maybe Jacksonville. Have to also factor him losing in a bunch of weight over this time as well. So. Could be longer.

Call this season a huge loss guys. Sucks.

Wont access to some of best docs in country expedite the process?
