I saw the play and said immediatly he should be benched. It would of been a collision but McDougal made no effort whatsoever to make a tackle there. He basically ducked out of the way.

Let's be real. McDougald was doing the honorable thing for this team.  His choice was to either let the Colts score or make a stop, and let the Jets offense take the field on its own 1 yard line.  Giving up a TD was better than giving up a Safety AND a TD.  He may have saved Sam Darnold's life.

But if we're being honest it doesn't just make Gase look bad.  In fact, Gase is probably fourth in line if McDougald is whiffing on a tackle, intentionally or otherwise.  It makes McDougald himself look bad, it makes Gregg Williams and his D look bad, it makes Joe Douglas look bad for thinking this guy was a decent starter to acquire.

You're right but if they're intentionally tanking they have 3/4 of a season to redeem themselves.

He's not healthy.  In fact, I'm trying to think of one rookie that Douglas drafted who is healthy right now besides James Morgan and maybe La'Michal Perine.

I think it was more terrible technique, he did the same later in the game, ducked his head and whiffed in the open field. Gotta keep your eyes open and head up in this game, I believe you learn that in your first football practice in grade school.

What can I say? The possibility of Gase's demise have me absolutely giddy.

All i know is Jamal Adams makes that play 100 out of 100x. 

Our Defense was top 10 last year and it's now 100% trash and Marcus Maye is so overrated it's not even funny. Maye will NEVER become a Pro Bowler let alone an All-Pro 1st team.

Boomer's a bum. How did he know he closed his eyes? STFU Boomer. And Bradley just has the same syndrome a lot of secondary guys have, they don't like contact and they go low looking to 'hog tie' people instead of meeting them square, head up, neck bulled, wrapping up, driving. Tackling is barely taught anymore, and secondary guys want to cover and play the ball. They don't want to meet a running back with a full head of steam at the goal line. They 'aren't paid for that' anymore.
