DESHAUN OFFICIALLY REQUESTS TRADE BABY

Knowing now that Deshaun informed the team of his trade request weeks ago it looks like a staff picked out to develop a young rookie QB.

Caserio doing good so far. Getting rid of whatever racial insensitivities by hiring good minority coaches. Preparing for life post Watson. Has complete control of picking every staff member. Getting ready for a rookie QB. I like it.

Trade Watt, Mercilous, Tunsil, and Deshaun(Not his choice). Grab about 6 extra first round picks in next few drafts and mid rounders. Get rid of all those bad contracts. If he hits on Wilson he could turn around the team extremely fast. Could be exciting as soon as next year.

Tunsil's dead cap is something like 9m. 29 by the time they should be competitive. Looks like hell want a ton to extend next time too. Don't be surprised to see him get moved too.

Why would the Dolphins call Tuas agent and let them know they're thinking of shopping him to Houston?

His agent literally said he speaks to all the guys in the FO. So obviously there’s line of communication there. But im sure u know better than he does sitting on ur couch.

It could mean the Texans don't want Tua as part of the trade so he just stays with Miami.   He's cheap enough to just stay on as a backup even if Watson goes there.

Yeah  thats sound about right draft QB top5. For him to be career backup.

What else can they do with Tua if they prefer Watson? Try and trade him i suppose.  Just like Sam, if they don't want him, we try and trade him or wind up keeping him.  Just saying that it doesn't mean Watson is not in play at Miami.

To me the big question is this: What do the Texans think of Zach Wilson?

if they like him, they need to get their guy and the ONLY sure fire way to do that is to get #2 overall from the Jets.

if the Texans don’t like Wilson (or Fields possibly) the Jets become less likely as a trade partner.

We need Caserio to fall in love with Wilson.

So dolphins are about spend 4-5 1st rd picks on the QB position in 2 years? Im sure they will have interest but i doubt there getting in any bidding war with the other 20+ teams . We will see though

Those close to Deshaun going scorched earth, now trashing one of the most respected journalists in the business, all because they haven't gotten their way. Texans told them no, and they will continue to tell them no for the foreseeable future. Should be fascinating to watch the tide turn from "Pro-Watson" to "Anti-Watson" rhetoric in the media over the next 2 weeks...

Watson to leave has to do what Jamal did. Become so toxic to the organization that retaining him becomes untenable. Watson, like Jamal, has to become a heel. Not clear Watson is willing to go to the dark side.

It’s quite simple actually.... call JJ Watt a White Privileged  Rascist and you’re gone. That’s like going to Alabama and saying Skynyrd sucks. You’ll be chased out of town with pitchforks.

Watt is a national treasure in Houston. Come on Deshaun take one for your new Jets teammates and Saleh!!

Texan's Fans are actually talking about this as well right now. This whole Deshaun thing very well may come to Zach Wilson. Some Good views above.

There'a a big difference though. Douglas was always willing to trade Jamal. Gase and Christopher didn't want to. Then it got toxic and JD was able to convince them to let him make the deal while the iron was hot.

Houston doesn't want to trade Deshaun. They're going to try and pinch their nose, ignore the antics, and come out looking morally superior. All they need to do is put out a tweet with their staff hires and they'll be applauded/Deshaun's reps will combust lol.

Besides, the Texans may be dumb but they aren't totally stupid. They've gotten to know Deshaun enough by now that it's not his character to be attacking people. They know this is all agent/rep driven.

I 100% think the Texans want to trade Watson at this point

- new GM and HC dont want to be saddled with a disgruntled QB

- no cap or draft picks to win with Deshaun

- their iconic defensive star is on the edge of retirement

the Texans are headed toward a full blow it up rebuild, you don’t do they with a QB on a rich deal

I don't know where you're getting this from or if it's just your opinion but they most definitely do not want to trade Watson...

This reputation thing to me is overblown if DW feels like he has to trash the organization to get out he should do it or let his camp do for him. At the end of the day it doesnt matter how bad he will look, if he comes to NY and balls out that will soon be forgotten this is a performance based league and will always be, see cases like tyreek hill who beats his child but is a beast on the field, Jamal Adams is getting hated on because he can't cover anyone for sh*t but if he had good coverage stats to match his sack numbers he would never be known as blitz boy

Yeah, but at least you'd have 3 hours to get out of town before those po-dunks have a chance to process and react to what you said.

heard an interesting trade for Watson. Lamar Jackson . straight up. even if Baltimore had to throw a #1. great deal for both teams

There's all sort of veteran trades out there, but the Texans have a rookie GM and rookie HC.  They are going to try to blow it up, get draft assets, and so a rebuild.  Having a veteran QB on a high priced contract doesn't really fit the dynamics of the plan.  Drafting a rookie QB #2 overall that they can control for 5 years before worrying about paying him is the ideal scenario, so they'll be looking for that to be the case.  It's all a question of whether they like Wilson or Fields.  If they do, that's the path they need to go.
