The reason he was a possession receiver is solely on Walton and how he utilized him  Toon could get deep with the best of them when he got into the league

Doesnt change that he was a possession WR and Walker was more of a deep threat.  I loved Toon, theres no know in being a 90 reception WR who caught everything

I loved Toon, my all time favorite Jet.  I loved Walker, an amazing player.

And we were blessed to have them both at the same time.

I feel no reason to pick one over the other, they were both elite talents, possibly the best, or the most talented, 2 WR's we've ever had (although Maynard is certainly up there too).

I dream that Wilson/Moore can be a modern day Walker/Toon, in spirit and productivity at least, if not exactly the same types of WR's.

And Ruckert can be our modern Mickey Shuler.

And Hall our McNeil.

And Carter our Hector.

A man can dream....

Can't we work Bruce Harper into this too?

Tell that to Charles Haley

"In a new book coming out by Jeff Pearlmen called “Boys Will Be Boys” it is revealed that 49ers and Cowboys DE Charles Haley used to masturbate in the locker room and during meetings."

Somehow, it was even worse than that. Haley would stroke it while telling the other guys in the locker room he was stroking while thinking about their wives. Absolute nut job.

That doesn't look good.

He's got a spare semi truck tire around the middle.

You have got to be kidding me! He could barely stand up. This guy aint gonna make it. No way can he block almost any pass rusher around the edge or inside for that matter. He doesn't look near ready for anything except the buffet line at Golden Corral.

Enjoyed watching Harper make from tiny Kutztown State. Exciting third down specialist who I not so fondly remember fumbling opening kick off in the playoff game against the Bills.
Other than that Bruuuuuuce was a dam good Jet?

I frankly do not see the point in being so harshly negative in June...

Wanking about becton... oh really... smart move because our plan B is??????  You better hope he gets it right by 9/11

Wanking about Wilson... that also makes tremendous sense being plan B is a guy who got HOF'd for 1 game, demonstrated durability game 2 and got smoke checked in game 3 or Flacco whose always been mediocre but is now also old.

JN, he looks big.   That is not the person we saw in one of the workout vids.   Gotta say, he might be pushin' four bills.

Have to say, from as far off he was from camera view, he looks nowhere different from the guy I saw in videos a couple of weeks ago.

We see what we want to see

I remember a TV broadcast, it might’ve been Dierdorf, referring to one of Toon’s circus catches as, “altoonistic!” I don’t think Walker ever got an adjective. ;)

But these are two of my all time favorites. Toon’s amazing hands stand out, but it was #85 that I was rocking in junior high.

Totally on the same page, Walker and Toon were both great just went about if differently.

Walker I remember for two 90 yard TDs in Buffalo.  Or the day he destroyed the Dolphins in the game and then overtime for the win

Toon, I cant ever forget the TD in Seattle where he catches the TD between his knees.

Those were the days.

Is Zach Ken O'Brien? Probably too high a bar eh? Richard Todd?

So let me check this, the videos of his workouts, dont prove hes in shape.  While the few video references also prove he isnt.  Got it

I didn't say he definitely isn't in shape. Most definitely not saying that based on pictures from from across a football field. The poster I replied to was the one saying he didn't look in shape.

Now, do I expect him to be out of shape? Yes, unfortunately, that's definitely what I've come to expect from that. And I believe the comments MLF made about Becton are extremely telling especially when you look at the things he had to say about Mims.

Look, I sincerely hope and pray I'm wrong. I hope I spend the entire season talking about how wrong I was about Becton. I seriously would love nothing more than for you to be able to call me out personally all season long when Becton is the stud anchor of our oline. But I don't see that happening. Honestly, at this point, I have serious doubts if he ever has production on the field for this team. Like I said, REALLY hope I'm wrong.

He's friggin fat fat fat! He can barely stand up. He looks like an embarrassment. Maybe he can play at this weight but hope he doesn't get knocked down because he might not be getting up. Does that look like an NFL player? Send his ass home.

Becton looks like a local buffet owner’s worst nightmare.

There go the profits.

The dude is like 12 foot tall and "beefy".... pretty sure that's the response regardless of his playing fitness... lol
