I'm highly skeptical - I genuinely don't expect 37 year old QBs who have been dumped by their last two teams to play well for an extended period of time. I think Flacco is more of a spot starter at this point, but it is what it is.

The medical staff misdiagnosing injuries is the problem.  When you say 4-6 weeks and it's two years, then you say 2-4 weeks and it's 8 weeks.  Yes, that's on the medical staff.

If you're assessment is - all of the data leading up to their 2-4 week announcement was accurate but it's only wrong because Wilson is pussy - then there's really no point in having a conversation.

I still, for the life of me, can't understand why we can't have a conversation around here without condescending bull sh*t.

I’m not expecting some magnificent resurgence from Flacco, but he’s now surrounded by arguably the most offensive firepower he’s had in his entire career.

Sure, the Jets could go 0-3 over the first three weeks…but it also wouldn’t shock me if they start 2-1.

Realistically, I expect 1-2 before Wilson returns.

Mommy Wilson, the Wilson Family, Zach Wilson or Jet Blue have NONE, ZERO influence on any Jet personal decisions, any injury concerns, any playing time...NOTHING at all to do with the organization.

Even if you wanted to believe that somehow, some player's families have a say over their playing time - that player must have some leverage.

Is he good enough to cause a problem by threatening to sit out? Is he coming up on a contract year? Is he willing to be the "bad guy" ?

None of those things apply to Wilson.  Without leverage you can't dictate policy.  It's pretty basic.

We want to discuss Wilson being injury prone, sure...that's fair.

We want to discuss Wilson over Flacco, sure...that's fair.

But we need to put to bed this entirely absurd idea that this has ANYTHING to do with him or his family.

Zach's knee fell at free-fall speed the first 2.25 seconds.
