A feature #1 RB is a luxury, not a priority.

Most teams still alive in the playoffs have a viable running game with 2 decent RB's

GB Jones-Williams

TB Jones-Fournette

KC Edwards-Halaire-Williams-Bell

Buffalo Singletary-Moss

Our RB's not even in the same league as any  listed.

What percentage of Jets fans who are currently claiming we shouldn’t trade these picks have actually seen Zack Wilson play a single snap of competitive football? .03%?

Maybe but likey, 99.9% seen the red head crap the bed, 3 seasons st8.

Zach,Justin and Trey can’t be worst than actual worst QB in the nfl, can they?

Agree to disagree but I can see that happening.

Hopefully Etienne or Harris is there.

I think we're drafting a RB, just not one with a 1st round pick

and certainly one who had only one 100 yard game this season

Not betting anything why must everything be a bet.

The NY Jets need a legitimate RB no more re-treads,imposters,late round hopefuls.

It hasn't worked in years here.

A good passing game benefits from a good running game.

the way you or others post sometimes, it's like your lecturing on truth.

(which i realize is ironic cause it means i'm being self-righteous too)

I should probably just stick to mock drafts.

You're arguing against your own point here.

Aaron Jones is probably the best RB on this list -- he was a 5th rounder.

Jamaal Williams was a 4th rounder.

Devin Singletary was a 3rd rounder.

Ronald Jones was a 2nd rounder.

Zach Moss was a 3rd rounder.

Darrel Williams was undrafted.

Leveon Bell sucked so much we cut him and got better. Ty Johnson was literally better in the same offense.

Fournette was a top ten pick -- and the team that drafted him flat out cut him.

CEH is the only RB who is a first round pick and falls into the "feature back" conversation and he's out injured -- and it doesn't seem to matter at all.

Watson is a great QB

544 attempts 382 completions

He also rushed for 444 yards

Houston Texans bad football team

Is this supposed to be a haiku?

Yeah, it's the RB tandem that's really carrying those teams.

Yes they were but can the NY Jets afford to wait to get a decent RB.

RB is a big weak spot position on the current NY Jets roster.

Most recent attempts

Elijiah McGuire

Trenton Cannon

Remember these JAG's

Our QB currently resides in Houston, TX. He’s only 25 years old. He has an awful running game, average wide receivers, no tight end, average offensive line yet still managed to throw for almost 5K yards, 33 touchdowns, and only 7 interceptions.

And he will have the same with the Jets and had 4 wins last year.

Wilson and Etienne. How original.

Why not the quadruple trade-down alley-oop and scoop?

I don’t know enough to care about any QB not named Deshaun Watson. But if we take a running back in the first with the massive holes on this roster we deserve whatever misery the next four years brings us

they need edge rushers and CB's and they are harder to find in the mid to later rounds.  RB, WR's TE's and other Oline besides LT can be had after the 1st 2 rounds

If they draft an offensive player in the first two rounds JD should be fired the moment he hands in the card.

Do you realize the Etienne is tremendous pass receiver as well?  If he runs a sub. 4.4 at the combine he would be excellent pick at 23.   We still have the 34th pick and 2 third rounders.  Not to mention whatever they can get in a Darnold trade.  Do you think the Colts are upset about taking James Taylor in the 1st round last year?  Etienne is more explosive

Love wilson at 2.  Would prefer nahae harris at 24 but would not be upset w/ etienne.

Offensive playmakers are what we need and that is what Joe and Rob are getting us.

I like Harris but Etienne is the more explosive playmaker

I tend to agree, now that I know we’re installing the Shanny system. You don’t draft a 1-cut downhill RB in the first round, which is historically what they look for.

Running backs are only as good as the line is. Running backs are only good when the team fears you passing. Let’s work on that  first, ok?

omg still with this

I have not seen a good tangible rebuttal of this,, that is the issue.

Houston has no talent

Jets have no talent

To get watson the jets have to give up so many assets that would give them talent.

Jet are not going to sign 5 great players in FA history suggests.

Has us taking Wilson and then Etine with the Seattle pick.

honestly the mock itself is really weird, IMO. Sewel falling pretty far, and Fields down kinda far too. Definitely the oddest mock I’ve seen so far.

Etienne is solid

Well they aren’t drafting 5 great players either if history suggests...Lol.   We’re f**ked either way it looks like.

If we take a QB at #2, Wilson should be the guy. Dude has crazy arm talent. It wouldn’t surprise me if he is eventually viewed as the best QB in this draft.

I like Etienne, but if the draft broke this way, I’d want us to trade back from that 23rd spot. I would hope one of Slater or Vera-Tucker would be there but he has them going really early. We might be in no mans land with that 23rd pick. Top corners gone as well.
