Beerfish
I called this weeks and weeks ago. Like good young players who you have to put up with rookie errors you can do the same for coaches or not. At least we now can compare the rams vs the jets offense for the next 3 years. Yay?

No one ever argued MLF has a lot of talent when it comes to designing an offense. He has problems with communication and leadership, which may simply be based on lack of experience. The Jets either could have kept him and brought in some experience to guide him or let him start fresh elsewhere. It seems like too many bridges were burned with the players, so going to the Rams under McVay seems like a win-win all around. 5

Everyone outside the organization knew that the QBs were killing this guy. He’ll be a HC candidate in a few short years. There’s a huge difference in these two scenarios. Here MLF is THE guy for the offense. He designs the playbook, calls the plays, and everything else. With the rams he probably won’t even be calling plays. He’s not installing his system. He’s just helping mcvay with the offense. That’s a massive difference in responsibilities
Popular Post dcJet
This new job isn't the same as his old job. Saleh gave MLF complete control over the offense - Choose the coaches, Install the offense, make the game plans, assign the personnel packages, call the plays and coach up the players. Now, in his new job, he does none of that.

BCJet
23 minutes ago, Rhg1084 said: Ive been saying the same thing since day 1 and its even more clear. Option 1 - stay with the jets who have no QB without a contract extension so that every week that the offense doesnt score 20+ your job will be questioned by the media. Option 2 - Get released from the last year of your contract with the Jets, be first in line for calls/interviews for jobs one of which is in LA where you can learn from Sean McVay for a year or 2 before moving on. Not a hard call here.....good for MLF.

Popular Post Green Ghost
LaFleur had a chance to get out of here and go to a better situation. He took it. All this garbage about him “not communicating” is the typical BS you here from stiffs like Elijah Moore, and people trying to justify Zach being an epic bust. At the end of the day, McVay grabbed him as soon as he could. We got Hackett. I’ll go with McVay’s opinion all day. 8
