Guys come here for a paycheck. Thats all.

You’re right.  Probably been going on for the last 35 years or so.

Jets are the “last outpost” in the NFL.

One of the reasons no real HC will uproot his family to work for Johnson unless paid a King’s random with no Johnson meddling, which Johnson will not do.

Cutting him with one game left in the season is almost as pointless as signing him to the PS in the first place.

Bizarre roster management.

He had great leaping ability, though.

"Tough, Smart" said Jets general manager Joe Douglas on Tuesday afternoon, "He knows Keith Carter well from his time with Tennessee.  He's the exact type of person, competitor, mental makeup, toughness that we are looking for."

And yes Joe Douglas said this.

What's funny is, when Douglas was hired, the talk was about how he was an offensive lineman and would be perfect to build a competent line as a GM. My initial reaction was "watch, he's going to be the polar opposite". I said it to myself in a half joking way, but sure as sh*t, was that accurate.

Holy hell...

The Jets are like Halley’s Comet. Once every 86 years, through no fault of its own, it starts to warm up, makes a fun to watch light show for a short time, then fades into obscurity again.

Good news, only another 31 years to go!

If the guy has zero chance of being kept, that spot would be better suited for some other players that the team may be interested in looking at. Practice squad guys can get offered a futures contracts.
