Cimini: Mosley Still not 100%

Recommended Posts

Dick knows what he’s doing, he knows Jets fans soft spot. Although to be fair to Jets Fans, when have any of these big ticket Free Agents panned out?

Notable resent fook up’s below:-

2015

Darrelle Revis five-year, $70 million

2016

Muhammad Wilkerson 5 year 86 million

Matt Forte 3 year 12 million

Ryan Fitzpatrick 1 year 12 million

2018

Josh McCown 1 year $10 million

Isaiah Crowell 3 years, $12 million

Trumaine Johnson 5 years, $72.5 million

Spencer Long 4 years, $27.5 million

Avery Williamson 3 years, $22.5 million

2019

CJ Mosley 5 year $85 million

Ryan Kalil 1 year $8.4 million

Le’Veon Bell 4 year $52.5 mill

I could added more, but it was making me depressed.

Is it actually that crazy he’s still recovering from a surgery he had 5 months ago

No it's quite normal.

People need to get some fresh air around here. Mow the lawn or something...

He had the injury 9 months ago but surgery just 5 months ago after trying to play with the injury

The season isn’t starting until November probably.  He should be ready by then

Guys come back from sports hernia surgery. He says he’ll be ready by training camp. He says he feels great he just hasn’t tested it yet. I think we should relax.

Jets fans don't relax. Jets fans panic. Over anything. It's what we do...?

Didnt he have the surgery?

It definitely was reported that he was having it.

Which would explain why he hasn't tried going all out on it, will wait until he has to.

He had the operation in December. He should be fine for training camp

In hindsight, the Mosley contract will eventually look even worse than the Enunwa one.  Prove me wrong.

It's an awful allocation of resources, and prevents us from switching to a 4-3 base front (or at least being more flexible about our use of 4-3) until we can get out from under his contract.

You guys need to calm down. He also said he expects to be 100% by camp

Even if he's fully healthy this season and is a 1st team All-Pro, it was a bad signing.  That's the point.  This bit of news from Cimini isn't the reason for the complaints.

Now you are making me depressed.
I was including all notable fook up’s even Joe Douglas. Although with the draft class and what I think it will be good, I may give him a pass for Kalil.

People loved to hammer JD over the Kalil signing.  It was clear from Day 1 that neither JD nor Gase were comfortable with Harrison as the starting Center.  Kalil should have been benched much sooner once it was clear he was physically unable to play the position anymore.  But Harrison is a sure bet to be off the team after 2020, if not sooner.

The blame for the problems at C fall on Macc's failure to ever find an adequate successor to Mangold.  Wesley Johnson, Spencer Long and Harrison, with Harrison being the best of the 3.  Ouch.

Agent Foster Grant. Hey these glasses are really nice. Are these government issued or do you all shop at the same store?

Jack Walsh: I know my rights. You owe me phone calls.
Alonzo Mosely: What should be of paramount importance to you right now is not the phone calls. It's the fact that you're gonna spend ten years for impersonating a federal agent.
Jack Walsh: Ten years for impersonating a fed, huh?
Alonzo Mosely: Ten years.
Jack Walsh: How comes no one's after you?

I can't blame everyone from being so pessimistic about Mosely. Remember he is one of the great terrible signings of the past regime who had a lousy record of forking over huge gauranteed money to players who never amounted to anything.

I just think that we must see how this one plays out (we have no damn choice in the matter) if somehow Mosely does recover fully and comes back 100% and then lives up to all the hype then we can finally breathe a sigh of relief, but history tells me that we more than likely will be waiting to get this deal over with and move on. I'm counting on Joe Douglas being the man who finally brings reason and sense to the Jets front office.

I’m not sure why you think this he just had a hernia. It’s not like neck surgery. He was a consensus all pro still in his prime and the defense looked great for the admittedly short(3 quarters) time he played. I’m excited to see him back.
