If they were comfortable with Drafting Tua or Herbert at 5 there is no way they'd be trying to do everything possible to get Burrow. They're not taking a QB at 5 and the Chargers aren't taking one at 6. If the Chargers were going to draft a QB they'd be trying to move ahead of Miami and reports this morning have stated they're staying at 6. Only 1 QB is going top 10. Hopefully a QB needy team offers the Jets a boatload to move to 11.

Jetlife33
The Patriots are signing wide receiver Marqise Lee, according to ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter (on Twitter). He’ll ink a one year deal as he moves on to a new team in the AFC.

Eh, nothing has really gone wrong for Miami yet. They can just sit back and use their league high number of picks to greatly improve their roster, if they pick the right guys. They can also completely F this up. Time will tell. The pre-draft buzz means nothing 2

Jetlife33
Although the Saints have long been said to be planning for Taysom Hill to succeed Drew Brees when Brees retires — which could be as soon as the end of the 2020 season — the team will not rule out selecting a signal-caller in this year’s draft, as GM Mickey Loomis noted (via John DeShazler of the team’s official website). Teams almost always trade up in the 1st round to draft a QB. Teams don't wait and see if the QB they love falls to them. Chicago did it with Trubisky by moving up 1 spot when nobody else was trying to move up. GM's get nervous.

Only two reasons you say your doctors medically cleared him. 1) Entice a trade up from another team as you said 2) Sell your fanbase that you did your homework when you draft him Let's say you're correct and Burrow somehow becomes the only QB to go in the Top 10, do teams sitting behind the Jets who need a future QB (maybe Raiders at 12 or 19, definitely Saints at 24, Miami at 18, New England, etc.) really start to aggressively try to trade up for either Tua, Herbert or Love? 1

It's not working and now Tua is a risky pick. They're a little stuck. Imagine being a team at #1 and already having your QB when Miami calls offering 5, 18 and 26! Holy smokes would that be a great trade down for a team with QB but with holes all over the rest of the roster.

Miami’s plan was to tank for Tua but then they started winning and Tua got injured. Yes they still have a lot of drop capital but they seem a little stuck in a way lol

Lions would prefer to trade back 2-3 spots and still get one from that group, but it's unclear whether they can.

This dude is going to be a massive bust. Jets need pass blocking o-lineman. He is not one. To amplify on this, physical outliers are RARELY successful in the NFL. Physical measureables that acted as gates was some of the first analytics. Gil Brandt talks about this a lot. Usually we talk about outliers that are too small, but being too big can be just as bad. Becton was terrible in pass blocking in college and it is silly to assume he will magically get better at it in the NFL.

Adding Lee is a minimal addition as he's only played 6 games with 3 catches over the last 32 games. I feel that's the reason Cindy left, they have no weapons for the QB. From that standpoint they can't afford losing Edelman.
