This was done at age 44! I can't blame the guy for not wanting to leave the sport after a season like that. For a guy as driven as he is, to walk away after that type of season might leave him wondering if he had another Super Bowl still left in him. And he probably wants to make sure he sets records that are as unreachable as possible. Montana and Bradshaw's 4 Super Bowls seemed impossible to beat but Brady now has 7.
