Hes psychotic.  No frickin way.

"There was an incident at a gym earlier this year, when Incognito appeared to believe he was a member of the National Security Agency and started throwing weights and other large items at another patron. "

"The latest piece of information, stemming from Incognito's run-in at a funeral home, is the darkest: the former Bills offensive lineman wanted to cut his deceased father's head off.

Incognito was detained and arrested at a Scottsdale, Arizona funeral home, where his father's funeral was being held earlier this week. At various points of his time at the funeral home, he threatened to return to his car, get guns out of the car and shoot employees of the funeral home if they didn't allow him access to the proceedings and his father's body."

Sadly, CTE is an awful disease... It's strange how it affects some people profoundly, yet some players walk away just fine or mostly fine.

Agreed, but it's also possible he could have been born with a mental defect. There are psychotic people who never played football or were repeatedly concussed. It's  not fair to blame football/CTE every time an NFL player does something "crazy."

technically you are correct because CTE can't be diagnosed until the autopsy

but on the other hand... cmon. That dude is a walking brain bruise

I know that some people get CTE from high school football, but Incognito is a kid that was demonstrating "issues" from very early in his college career.  The coach that recruited him at Nebraska sent him to some kind of sanitarium for treatment after he initiated a bunch of fights and when Callahan took over he dumped Incognito after a few more fights.  That has continued with dirty play with the Rams and bullying with the Dolphins. It could be CTE, or maybe he is just a douche.

Very likely, but if you check out his wiki page you could see that this dude had issues dating back to his early years in college. Either way, for our purposes he is seriously damaged goods and not really someone I want to add to this team.

If we include Pee wee football, Richie Incognito was conservatively playing contact for a decade before arriving at Nebraska.

Is looking to make a comeback and is working out for the Raiders. Jets should bring this guy in! Hard nose player would be perfect for the O Line

How in the world is he aloud to have a try out with an NFL team?

Yeah there is definitely something wrong there. Adding him to a roster run by Gase and Williams? Oh my.

He's always been nuts, he got kicked out of Nebraska for being nuts - no idea if it is CTE and I don't think it's ever been reported as such.

He shouldn't be allowed to play again. He has serious mental health issues. Imagine a scenario where he brought a weapon into the locker room and killed someone. Not out of the realm of possibility. It would be a scandal talked about for years by every major media outlet. He should be taken care of,by the union that covers players retirement.

Well at any rate you can't knock Richie's protective instincts.

A decade?  Conservatively?  Who the **** is playing full contact at 8 years old? I played with adults from around 12 years old until I was 44.  My head is fine <cough, cough>.  I had a pretty long break from tackle before the Italian league.  OTOH, some of the worst shots I took were from landing on frozen turf without a helmet.  It is certainly possible that Richie Incognito had CTE by the time he got to Nebraska.  It is also possible that his issues are not related to CTE.  Maybe he has other mental issues, substance or alcohol issues, it is even remotely possible that he is just super douchey.  Maybe some combination.
