Sam Darnold is a bust

Recommended Posts

Sam shows flashes a lot of them do....but too inconsistent and a poor decision maker.... nothing worse you can be as an nfl starter.

Need to quote this for posterity for when Sam goes 170 yds, 2TDs and 1 INT next week and then it's back to "maybe he can be the guy after all!"

Nah Fools gold.  This boogie boarding goof ball ain’t it.  He’s trash.

Can’t argue with you there. The occasional brilliant play will keep us wondering. But he is not a consistently good QB.

This team was built ass backwards to begin with. Look no further than the Buffalo bills

He never even played great college D's while in USC.

He is an NFL bust.

He makes us worse. Not better.

He's more awful than Sanchez ever was.

At least Sanchez had fire. And heart.

This Red head is souless and softer than cotton.

He somehow looks worse after three seasons.

Time to follow the trend of the NFL and flop for Fields.

I thought Josh Allen was gonna be a crappy QB but man he's light years ahead of Sam n is well coached. Dude could actually be MVP this year. Amazing.

You have to build something of a team first.   Any young QB on a team with no talent will bust.

I am not saying he doesn't look like one.  But if you draft another qb, and throw him in there with no online, no running attack, no wr, the next one will bust too.

The lack of talent is amazing.

They need a whole new offense basically but Sam Darnold is a bust, that is for sure.

Reposting this in this thread from the DWC thread:

Joe Douglas will get his QB (Lawrence, Fields, or Lance) & a head coach of his choice.

I will root for Sam wherever he goes after they, ultimately, trade him.  The Jets failed him.  They took a QB prospect with infinite potential and destroyed him.  The way the Ravens and Bills built around Allen and Jackson is how it’s done.  Hopefully Joe Douglas builds around his guy like that

this franchise just doesnt get it, and it may never get corrected as sad as it is to say.

We need to accept that this happens sometimes...it isnt always that the team or coaching let the player down....he has the same flaws he always had. A better coach and better team around him would have only hid it better, for longer.

If you don't massively upgrade the offense, you cam draft who ever you want next year, they are gonna bust too.

I think that Sam will succeed.  But, unfortunately, it looks like it will be somewhere else.

Yeah but we couldn't take him because his stature and skillset reminded people of Christian Hackenberg.
