He somehow looks worse after three seasons.

Sam shows flashes a lot of them do....but too inconsistent and a poor decision maker.... nothing worse you can be as an nfl starter.

He does have the tools. But inept ownership qnd coaching ruined him. You can see the difference with a QBs like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. They went to teams that were able to coach them up and improve them in the areas they are weakest along with surrounding them with talent. 

I'm not completely out on Sam but they need to get rid of Gase ASAP and see how he plays when all the WRs come back.

You have to build something of a team first.   Any young QB on a team with no talent will bust.  

I am not saying he doesn't look like one.  But if you draft another qb, and throw him in there with no online, no running attack, no wr, the next one will bust too.

The lack of talent is amazing.

Joe Douglas will get his QB (Lawrence, Fields, or Lance) & a head coach of his choice.

I will root for Sam wherever he goes after they, ultimately, trade him.  The Jets failed him.  They took a QB prospect with infinite potential and destroyed him.  The way the Ravens and Bills built around Allen and Jackson is how it’s done.  Hopefully Joe Douglas builds around his guy like that

I thought Josh Allen was gonna be a crappy QB but man he's light years ahead of Sam n is well coached. Dude could actually be MVP this year. Amazing.

This is on CJ. Darnold was the best QB prospect  we have had in 20 years. CJ put an organization  around him that failed him miserably.  Darnold can rebound from this but that is very unlikely considering what we have on this team.

They need a whole new offense basically but Sam Darnold is a bust, that is for sure.

I think we should give Darnold a chance in a better situation before giving up on him. I am someone who typically gives up on QBs quickly. I have my doubts on Darnold but he definitely has the physical gifts to be a successful NFL qb and he's been in the absolute worst situation imaginable.

this franchise just doesnt get it, and it may never get corrected as sad as it is to say.

We need to accept that this happens sometimes...it isnt always that the team or coaching let the player down....he has the same flaws he always had. A better coach and better team around him would have only hid it better, for longer.

I think that Sam will succeed.  But, unfortunately, it looks like it will be somewhere else.
