Look no further than the Johnson brothers.  Reminds me of the Jamal Adams quote "They do not want to win".  Which is another way of saying, they will not do what's necessary to win and take an attitude of failure is not a mutherfukking option.  When your owners are entitled to a billion dollars at birth and they buy a football team without any skills how to lead that organization you have a recipe for disaster.  The front office, the head coaches, the players all take their cue from the leadership and these dawgs don't hunt.  The only thing left to do is laugh at this comedic football club they have created in their own image.

It is the fault of one man-Christopher Johnson.

1)He allowed Mike McCagnan to go on a spending spree which essentially locked this roster in place for two years (2019 and 2020). Tons of dead money and free agents not contributing.

2)He hired the worst possible head coach for the kid.

Sam has gotten noticeably worse over the 3 years he's been there.  By all accounts, he's worked hard and done everything he could - which leads to only one conclusion, the Jet ruined him.

The situation was awful thanks to Maccagnan being the worst GM in history, but what can’t be denied is that Darnold showed *zero* fight through any of it. He’s going to get ousted from the Jets without ever once showing a hint of spine. The Jets didn’t ruin Darnold, the Jets exposed Darnold.

The franchise sucks

The owner sucks

His little brother sucks

Some guy called Hymie probably sucks

Mike Maccagnan is the worst GM in history

Adam Gase is the worst coach in modern football

The Hobbit might be better than Gase based on the 2 games he let him actually call the plays, but can't say for sure

Sam Darnold sucks

tldr: Everybody sucks!

Sam played ok-ish under Bowles so it's got to be Gase.  None the less, it's Sam's career and reputation on the line.  He's a multi-millionaire who lacks the wherewithal to fix himself.  So no he's not a FQB.

Bowles >>> Gase

It’s ******* bonkers to me that the only consistency in the Jets fan experience over my lifetime is bitching and arguing over who to blame.

And it never fails... it ALWAYS becomes a pedantic exhibition of how most humans think accountability is zero sum.

If Sam isn't a bust all because the team who drafted him well then no Jets fan can ever consider David Carr or Ryan Leaf as being busts either.

Look. The Jets were nowhere to be found when Sam Darnold was a USC fumbling and INT turnover machine.

He stinks.

The Jets aren't innocent. Front office and ownership have failed the kid but chances are even if provided A+ offensive talent he still would've stunk.

Not even a Franchise LT protecting his blindside could save him (not even a little bit) because he's now ranked and rated as the 48th QB as a 3rd player (48th out of a possible 50).

It took Robby Anderson ESCAPING Sam Darnold in order to become a top 10 WR immediately after escaping Sam (his arm unlike Josh Allen absolutely STINKS too).

The Jets front office has been awful but Sam Darnold is an absolute bust.

Out of Jackson, Allen, Mayfield, Darnold we somehow drafted the worst one while drafting the most highly touted. We also had the worst possible place for a QB to start his career than the others by far. Not saying it's not on Sam, but it makes you think, at least.

There’s a reason we haven’t found a QB in the draft since Namath... and it’s not Sam’s fault.

Gase is garbage but he took the Dolphins to the playoffs one year. Ryan T wasn't great but he wasn't Sam bad. You saw flashes and he made plays. Sam is a bust and won't be good wherever he goes. His flaws were also issues at USC. He can't read defenses, hence the terrible picks and stupid throws, has no pre snap awareness, terrible deep ball, terrible footwork, terrible arm angles and is not s smart QB as he holds on to the ball to long and doesn't know when to throw it away. His issues are much deeper than coaching or weapons. When you are 0-13 everyone is at fault but make no mistake about it, Sam is a bust! Franchise QBs find a way to the top regardless of coaching or weapons. It's Sad it didn't work out here and I hope he can find his way but he's just not good. Might become serviceable but never will be a top 10-15 guy. So as a 3rd overall pick he's a failure.
