Tony Pauline: "Word was in league circles, very likely Sam Darnold is out, they're going to trade him & it'll be Zach Wilson."

Remind me...Pauline is the same guy who claimed JD was going to be fired at the end of the season right?

Nobody knows JD...stop fooling yourselves, sit on your hands, and watch how shiz gets done.

If we actually do select Wilson and trade Sam just as every media talking head is reporting, this would mean the Jets front office has more leaks than the Titanic.

Have you paid attention at all to free agency? This Jets team is airtight with information.

There are 3 outcomes you can write articles about right now,

Staying with Sam, Trading Sam and picking Wilson, Trading back.

That's it.

Stay with Sam one more year.  2022 is a better qb draft class.  Howell, Corrall, Slovis, Ridder etc

HUH??? Its called guessing man.  People are GUESSING the most probable conclusion.  With Watson out there are really only 2 options.  Not too tough.

I don't  think the only logical option is what is being reported. We can trade down to 4 or 8 and still take a QB and get more draft capital.  If JD is convinced that a QB that has had one great year against a dog crap schedule,  lost to the only ranked team they played all season, barely had to make a throw under pressure, has a surgically  repaired  throwing shoulder as well as a surgically  repaired thumb done in the last 2 years is the best possible option, then yes you take him, but considering  all that, this can not be the only route to take and they haven't  even had medical staff examine him or spoken to him.

And nobody is talking about anything other than selecting Wilson. That's  all I'm saying. Everyone claims unnamed  sources are telling them this.

I think JD is trying to trade down.  This is window dressing.

Slovis could have a record setting year and this place would burn down if we selected another USC QB.

Because it's the safe writers bet. That's all. Theres a fairly good chance it happens, and then the writers that "predicted it" look smart.

Or, it means that the media literally flipped a coin and called it right

Corrall, Slovis, Ridder would have to break out next year to be on Lawrence, Wilson, Fields, and Lance's level. Obviously possible, but right now they wouldn't go top 10 in draft. No one can credibly say 2022 class is better at this point.
