Not his fault. The guys are trying to avoid flags for hitting the QB. So he kind of stopped playing, showing the ref “look I pulled up”

Not defy his coach, go to his next read or next stuff happen. LaFleur has said multiple times that Zach has skipped the reads because LaFleur called a bad play and Zach bailed him out. LaFleur said that about the touchdown last week that Zach scrambled on: LaFleur called a bad play that didn't work, Zach went off script and got a TD.
