    • Has Sherwood shown that he can be a capable starter? Sure. He's playing great right now. But this defense still can't stop the run and Mosley will still be the starter when he comes back healthy. No doubt in my mind. I'm not sure how fair it is to say that the Jets D is playing much better without Mosley. He only played 1 full game this season. And nobody on defense played well against the Niners. If anything, it's a good problem to have when Mosley is back. This coaching staff needs to get more creative on both sides of the ball and mix up their personnel anyway. But in general the LB core has looked solid, IMO.  From what I've seen so far the issues with stopping the run have been on the D-line. Opposing o-lines seem to always get a push and create holes. Our LB's have been pretty good at cleaning up the play, and that includes Mosley, but by then the RB has gained 4, 5, 6 yards. Our defensive line needs to become more disruptive in the backfield against the run. This requires discipline and better play recognition. Something the d-line in particular has lacked. Jordan Mason on SF shredded us with misdirection and cutbacks. Tony Pollard was able to use the edges on stretch plays because we can't set the edge like we could last year with JFM and a healthy JJ. Javonte Williams went power mode against us and the Broncos grinded out crucial yards down the stretch because their o-line got that push our d-line keeps giving up. The only game the Jets were able to really shut down the run in was against the Pats and that was because they were so clearly dominating that sad Pats o-line.  The Jets are sorely missing JJ, JFM and Fotu. And their coaching staff needs to figure out a way to make up for that. Some of this may be on the players. But the fact that we see teams running the ball at will with all the talent this D-line still has without JJ, JFM and Fotu still injured has a lot to do with bad coaching.
    • Looks like me right now except it's a 7&7 while watching the Jankees.
