Absolutely.  Just because he retires, doesn't change the fact that TB would still own his rights.  Even if he became an executive with the Fish, that wouldn't change.

If Brady had gotten the bucs to cut him with the pre June 1 designation they could spread any cap hit over two years.   Theoretically the. Brady could come back to the niners or like here miami.   BA came out and said ‘no way are we releasing him’ when he was still retired, so that probably killed this more than the lawsuit.
