Kelvin Harmon is still left at WR

I liked him going into the draft, but a bad combine, a bad pro day and questions about his age have really clobbered him.

It's an out of the box pick. Not sure that's a good or bad thing. Was pretty non-existent until the second half of his senior year and then blossomed into a key player on their offense. Really good hands, Really good at adjusting to the ball. Really tough to take down. But obviously not much in the way of speed.

Not exactly someone I wanted but at this point of the draft just about every pick are guys that weren't on many of our lists.

NFL draft profile: Ross Pierschbacher

Ross Pierschbacher is a guard/center out of Alabama who earned second team All-American honors and first team All-SEC honors during his senior year.

Pre-Draft Analysis

Pierschbacher is a versatile interior offensive lineman with starting experience at guard and center. He gets into position and walls off defenders in the run game. He shows good awareness but lunges and gets caught off-balance in pass protection.

Since it looks like we can't find a center, so we double down on edge and take Joe Jackson?  Not sure why hes still available but he seems like a decent DE prospect

You have to think they go CB here.

One position group that seems to be de emphasized so far is dB.  Maybe adding Mosley, Q and polite help out more.

Mayock with another Tiger.   That’s 3 Tigers drafted by him so far.

Mayock is HUGE on character, not just skill. I can see it.

Gaillard is still there.

Don’t we still have Nickerson, Clark and Jones not to mention Robinson?

Do our DB draft picks ever improve?

Clellin and Hunter are both great kids.  Never have to worry about them off the field.

I may have overlooked this but if not, here's the details on the two trade downs in the 4th.

Jets traded 4.3 for 4.14 & 5.30

Jets traded 4.14 & 5.30 for 4.21 & 5.19

https://www.newyorkjets.com/news/rd-4-jets-trade-down-twice-take-w-virginia-te-trevon-wesco

So it’s basically 4.3 for 4.21 & 5.19

I thought they did that last night.

If they did, then why do this extra move to remake the OL. Either they did or they didn’t

What separates Pierschbacher in your mind?
I ask because for some reason I really liked Barret Jones who is a similar player and who never made it.

Started at guard fir a season and center. Cebter this whole past season. Good zone blocker. Only allowed 4 pressures all season or something like that.
Played against top talent and did very well. Could use work but he is the lady of the top centers in this draft. Truth is he is most likely better than Michael Jordan at C. Maybe others as well.
Good hand abs consistent feet

He is a very solid pick at a position of need. I would have been happy if we grabbed him I. The 3rd. Had a 4-6th round pojection.

I would like Corey Ballentine in this spot.

Kelvin Harmon, the WR, would be the sexier pick but there is a reason he is falling. Guy gets zero separation.

Rodney Anderson would be an interesting pick here at RB. With Bell around we can afford to let him get stronger after his ACL injury.

Lamont Gaillard/Pierschbacher would also be a good pick for Center but if they just took a TE, I have to assume they don't like the remaining Center options or have other plans at Center (Trade/FA)

Damn it. I was hoping the Jets could get Renfrow

I like Renfrow but he is a less talented version of Crowder.

Nickerson has been on the team one year.  He played reasonably well for a rookie.  Clark isn't going to make it.  Jones after one year improved significantly.  Yes, they improve.  They're both very young and were late round picks.  Exactly what you would expect from them.

He has some of the best hands I’ve seen.

Yup, but we have Crowder for 3 years.

And there goes Pierschbacher.

Redskins took the center from Alabama some of you liked.  They are having  a good draft.
