This post is preposterous, how the hell are we going to have the worst record opening up at 2-0?

At Bills? Darnold seems to be in a zone playing there with confidence. At home vs 49ers at 1:00 PM eastern time (10:00AM WST) & Garapolo trying to win without being able to run the ball?

Jets start season 2-0, talk of the town.

It depends on Darnold. If he improves off last year, puts up good numbers and plays impressive football but the rest of the team slacks then it makes sense to get the gargantuan haul.

If Darnold sucks then you take Trevor and run.

What if we have the number 1 pick?  That schedule is a doozy

If we did end up with number one pick it would more than likely indicate we broke Darnold and that’s it. So Drafting Trevor Would be the only choice. Trade him to the Patriots?  Go take a walk in the park Phil, you need to get out.

The #1 pick means the season went totally off the rails, likely something like Darnold got sick/hurt and couldn't play all year.  Even with last year's train wreck of a roster we found 7 wins.

However, in any case....you'd take Trevor there.  If Darnold was hurt then you want another QB on a rookie deal.  If Darnold was horrible then both him and Gase are on their way out and you're starting over with a new coach who would want his own QB.

Also, we're not Drafting #1 overall so this whole thing is moot.

Each choice is more rediculous than the next. We have a QB so why would you use a first round pick on another. It isn't  like Darnold has played like Geno Smith.

Why would we rrade Lawrence to the Pats or any team. Trading him would mean we selected him and thst is not happening.

We are also set at S. I'm figuring this is a stupid joke but JD has dine everything in this dradt that everyone hoped for, got a franchise LT, Drafted a high profile WR, and collected more picks along the way to select an edge and CB. Picking S would mean he has turned into Mac.

If we get the first pick and Lawrenfe is the consensus number 1 overall, you trade back for a freaking embarrassing amount of forst round selections

You may have missed it, but almost everything here is moot.

Trevor Lawrence  is so massively overrated on these forums it is hilarious.

I'm not so sure he's that much better than Justin Fields.

Hell, I'm not so sure he's better than Justin Fields at all
