Beerfish
It's great, just wish this draft was last years draft player wise. This draft is just not as good as many, no premium qbs so tough to trade down. The guys we are talking about for us are good but not awesome sauce in my mind. If this was last year the jets would welcome jamar chase or pitts and micah parsons. There are no players of that calibre here, even some of the other positions like oline or cb. We are unlucky once again. That does not mean we can really help oursleves though if Douglas hits 2

I’m confident he has landed his Franchise QB, who is just finishing out his rookie season having played the toughest schedule of defenses of Any QB in the league. The Jets are going to start having a Roster that looks like it belongs in the NFL next year and they will be highly competitive. Haven’t been able to say that for a long time.

TuscanyTile2
You just have to love that we're 1st in the "power rankings" in a category where things are inverse to being a good team. (e.g. worst team picks 1st).

He traded back from the second in one, and then traded up in the first round of the second. He’ll do what he feels gives him the most value. I expected him to trade back in the second last year, but he stuck and picked Elijah Moore, and probably feels pretty good about that. It should be a very fun offseason. That said, I could see some lower trades for a few later picks (they currently have none after the fifth round).

We are unlucky once again. That does not mean we can really help oursleves though if Douglas hits This draft will be no different than any other, impact players and future all - pro’s will be selected in every round and the fortunes of teams will be positively and negatively altered as in any other year, just because the Kiper’s of this world don’t see a sexy QB at the top of the list doesn’t mean that the talent we need isn’t there to be added. We just need Douglas and the scouts to find those guys and maximise the value of our draft capital. If there is one thing JD has shown it’s a refreshing ability and willingness to manoeuvre and keep acquiring future picks. Whether or not you are confident he can hit on those picks depends on whether you dwell on his 2020 draft (not looking great) or 2021 effort (way more positive). great players will be there to be had, whether or not they end up in Gotham Green is another matter altogether …fingers crossed 5

Barry McCockinner
There is absolutely no excuse for the Jets to not be competing for a wildcard next season. We've got too much ammo to upgrade between draft & cap space to not make a big difference.
BettyBoop
The success of the draft will be predicated on free agency signings. IF Douglas can successfully fill holes at OL, Edge, TE, WR, S and LB in free agency, the draft will be a huge success. There's enough money to fill those positions.
