Jetmech
https://twitter.com/JeffDarlin...tatus/1080591839357530112?s=19 Former Dolphins coach Adam Gase will interview with the Jets on Friday, per multiple sources. That will be his second interview for a head job this week — he’s in Arizona right now. A Jets/Gase marriage would certainly be a very intriguing option for both sides. This should be fun..Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
Scott Dierking
I recall several years a go he demanded control of personnel. This was when he interviewed with the Eagles. BTW, 3 years ago, 7 new coaches were hired in the NFL. All of those coaches except one, have now been fired. Doug Pederson. The 7th coach hired in that year. Patriot Killa
Adam Gase? Hmm.. don’t know if I like him more than Monken as an offensive mind but he’s definitely higher on my list than the KC rookie offensive coordinator. 2
nycdan
See it's simple really. Win a SB. You don't get fired. For a few years at least.

Beerfish
That hire will not go over well at all. Unless he ends up being an oc in which case people would be okay with it probably.
Popular Post JoJoTownsell1
He's managed to win games with the likes of Ryan Tannehill and Brock Osweiller. Joe Jets fan
Guy had a crap QB situation and still won games. Made some pretty bad QBs look pretty good. Make him hire a known DC.

Adoni Beast
He’s def worth an interview. He did a lot, with a little. I would put him in the “dont love, dont hate” category. But considering Kingsbury, Monken, and McCarthy are out there...I’d be livid if we chose this guy instead of any of them. 3
Jetmech
The Talking heads feel he shouldn't have been fired. Locker Room qoutes: https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/barry-jackson/article223482025.html Seems the complaints about him by the players is kind of overblown.. Ohio State NY Jets fan
not the worst back up plan if other coaches turn down an offer but former fish coaches have not done well recently
Joe W. Namath
We are doing due diligence. He has no shot at getting the job. He sucks. 2 1
usanyj
I’ve always liked him. I think he has done well with not much. I also think his “attitude” is overblown. Most people today can’t handle a tough, in your face guy. He seems that way.
jetstream23
Like him as a candidate and offensive mind but there are lots of red flags from an overall HC standpoint. You have to have a short memory when a play goes bad and you can’t get so wrapped around the axle strategically that you pivot off what is working best. Could be a good OC but may not have the interpersonal skills or emotional intelligence to be a HC right now. 1

MasterChiefJets
I think the bigger questions are: Why did it not work out in Miami? Will it work out with him and Mac? 1
Jetsfan80
Fantastic OC. Awful head coach. He’ll alienate everyone but Darnold. And yes, that matters. Hard to develop a young QB when a mutiny is going on behind the scenes.
Adoni Beast
Considering he was fired for having a stand offish, “I’m the smartest guy in the room” mentality...I have a hard time believing he will get hired for not relating well to players, staff, and administration. Mike Mccarthy has won 21 games in that same span with Aaron Rodgers for 39/48 games and Davante Adams. Bbbbut, Mccarthy won a SB a decade ago so he must be the better coaching option...... 10 minutes ago, Jetfan13 said: Been a fan for over 50 years, this would be the last straw. section314
Not that this is breaking new ground here, but this the first time for Chris Johnson and Macc to be going through this process. It's actually pretty smart for them to be interviewing as many guys as possible.
Gen X Jet
I'm not sure why people care about his personality. Most of the good/great coaches are not very likable people. 3
jetscrazey
All I know is, in Jets/Dolphins games Gase was clearly outcoaching Bowles. Not my first choice but not my last choice either.

Untouchable
No problem with this at all I wanted him before we hired Bowles. And frankly, after McCarthy, he’d still be right there with Monken as my 2nd choice. 2
