Popular Post SAR I
But what about what Beningo said? We are the worst franchise in football. No one wants to come here. This makes me sad. SAR I 4
Popular Post BigRy56
I would do it. He would be able to match the sack total / impact the run game just like Adams. And as a matter of fact, Clowney HAS single handedly destroyed games before... so it might even be an upgrade This would allow the secondary to roam and pick off passes like they’re supposed to 8
jetscrazey
Need to get Clowney or Yannick or Everson Griffin here to replace Jamal's pass rush production
David Harris
Clowney would be exciting but he only got 3 sacks- jets are already good at stopping the run. 1
JohnnyLV
Maybe not the greatest post concept for a brand new Jet but there is some merit to the move though I do think he is a tad overrated. 1
Popular Post Irish Jet
No. Build for the future. He doesn’t want to play for the Jets either. He wants to play for the team who pays what he wants. 5 2

Popular Post Biggs
Now that we got Jamal off the team guys are breaking the door down to come here. Douglas and Gase are the football equivalents of chick magnets now that they got the Jamal anchor off the boat. 1 3 1
Popular Post Lot K Tailgaters
I just saw that tweet. I’d sign him to a one year prove it deal. Maybe two years. Better than trading picks to Jacksonville. 9

nycdan
If we have the cap room this year, I see absolutely no harm in bringing him in. If games are played, and he shows he can still be disruptive to the opposing team (as opposed to Jamal who was disruptive to his own team), then we can extend him. Honestly, with no need to trade picks, why wouldn't we take a long look? 3

No one even knows what the cap will be, and he couldn't get one for all of free agency. I want 15 million a year for my job too, but if no one is willing to pay it I am S.O.L.

Popular Post Mogglez
I'll admit, I'm chuckling because Jamal did the same thing (try to recruit Clowney back to Seattle) and there wasn't a peep. Bradley McDougald hasn't even taken his physical yet and he's more effective as a recruiter than Jamal. 2 2 2

jetstream23
Not sure about this. Clowney would undoubtedly improve the D and the pass rush, but we all know Joe D doesn't just throw money around. My guess is a Jets offer would be less than what others have already offered Jadaveon. With that said, I wouldn't have a problem paying the market rate for a 1 or 2 year deal because current year Cap $$$ are less valuable than future Draft picks IMO. By this I mean that I wouldn't trade Draft capital for someone like Clowney (although I might for Ngakoue), but I would pay free agent money. Unless we have some other plans for that money, and keeping in mind that we will not be paying Jamal Adams but DO have to plan for an eventual Darnold extension, I think a 1-2 year deal is palatable. 4

Popular Post Beerfish
I would for sure look into it seriously, one year deal, even if it is an over pay, he walks we probably get comp pick. 6

Greenbloodblitz
I'm not overly impressed with Clowney. He'd be a stopgap and I honestly don't see him as much better than what we already have. If you want to make noise, then start throwing some of those picks around for an impact player. Kupp or Barrett come to mind.
