jetstream23 Posted September 30, 2020 Share Posted September 30, 2020 The key reason it wouldn't happen this quick is because of the embarrassment it would cause CJ after having said less than two weeks ago that Gase is a brilliant guy and giving him a full endorsement. He can't turn around and fire the guy two weeks later. And, it's not just the embarrassment... How the Jets handle this situation, how professional they appear to be, whether they give Gase some more runway due to the injuries and poor roster will all influence how other coaching candidates view this place. The Jets are marketing a Head Coach job to the world right now. If you seemingly endorse a guy and then two weeks later you appear to stab him in the back for not winning with Josh Malone and Braxton Berrios then why would any HC who has more than the Jets as an option want to come here? 1 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
