Cowherd just dropped some tea on his show- said Jets brass have reached out to agents about coaching candidates.

Name ONE good hire the Johnsons have made? and don't say Douglas. We don't know that.

In the time since we have had REX, we have had 3 coaches, at least 5 QB's, and 4 GM's.

The Ravens, who wouldn't even consider REX, have had 1 coach, a SB, TONS of playoffs, 2 QB's.

Are there any legit HC candidates without jobs right now?

Or would they be reaching out to guys under contract with other teams?  Seems very early to start that process, as you can't interview them until the regular season is over, at the earliest.

Stop being reasonable. The Jets won't ever do the coach to GM, GM to owner system. Hence the perennial loser.

It's not a terrible setup if you have competent ownership. Unfotunately we don't, and so it's awful. If they got lucky and nailed the JD hire they should ride it as long as hard as they can, and that begins with giving him the reigns of the coach.

It would probably be college. Thinking Big 10 or PAC 10 since they are not yet playing.Harbough? David Shaw?

I can't argue with any of this unfortunately. The dysfunction starts at the top and the Johnson's are going nowhere. At least with the Mets there is some optimism that Cohen will fumigate the Wilpon stink. No such luck with this team.

IF it is true (if considering the source), it could also be the jets reaching out to the agent of a current coach (e.g., Gregg Williams) to adjust the contract if they become interim coach.
