Unrelated note, but I f*cking love the BYU colors and uniforms.

Just imagine if that blue was green and the Y was a NYJ...

Would look pretty sweet...

Rofl .... Look I liked Darnold the person... But I'm not crying over losing Darnold the player .... I've gotten Sanchez vibes from him since the moment his first throw was a pick.

What I'm really enjoying is being a psychic vampire and drinking all the Darnold homers delicious tears.

Have you seen what we do with our late round picks... a 2nd and a 4th is nothing! I wouldve rathered Carolinas second this year

A 2nd and a 4th is nothing....I would've preferred a 2nd.

Okay I get it now, you're a troll account. Username makes sense now.

Joe Douglas has removed the diseases of adam gase and sam darnold from this franchise.

He should have a statue outside the stadium.

Maybe he should field a team that actually wins a few games first.

WOW a 6th rounder this year and a 2nd and 4th next year.  Not bad considering JD's window for trading him was closing in.  Broncos, no thanks, 49er's no thanks, Bears no thanks, Washington no thanks. Pretty much every team that was in the market for a QB bypassed Darnold.  Best I thought we could get was a 3rd rounder after all the moves had been made.  This is a good deal for the Jets.

How much sculpting clay or marble would I need for a statue of JD?  After the deal he pulled off trading Darnold, I might fly to Carrara and pick through one of Michelangelo's favorite quarries.

Statement from Joe Douglas:

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.  Love Joe Douglas.  Blatant lies even on the way out.  Joe is celebrating that someone took this scrub off his hands.

Well done Mr Douglas.  Well done.

Panthers are betting a lot on him. He's their guy.

This has to be a Joe Brady decision , thinking he can do for Sammy what he did for Burrow.

Another reason why this is a great trade, Damien Woody mentioned how next year is a full college football season. We will have better and more complete scouting.

Small minds miss the point, as expected

Next year's picks are more valuable, because there will likely be a full collegiate season.

I realllllllyyyyy miss our old unis. Only thing I disliked about them (and every jet uniform) was the green pants.

That's more than I thought we'd get.  No great haul but ok by me none the less.

More than I expected as well, but not much more by value.

I told folks high picks were out, and they were.

We got a 6th this year.  Not the 2nd or even 3rd this year people expected.

We did get a 2nd next year (equal to a 3rd this year) and that 4th (equiv. to a 5th).

So mid-rounder-value, as expected.

A 2nd and 4th next year is better than 2nd and 4th this year because we'll have a full college football season next year. Not to mention, it spreads out when rookie contracts are up.
