    • That's the thing though. Great franchises "build through the draft" like JD supposedly wants to.  Day 3 picks can be depth now and maybe, sometimes, starters later. They come on 4 year deals. It would be amazing if our LG of the future or safety of the future came on these picks. Instead we get these guys who will almost certainly never be our starter. I was on board with another rb and qb - while neither is likely to be "the guy", it's warranted to take a shot on a QB and the RB can contribute this year. Past that I'm very confused why JD isn't trying to make meaningful long term picks. As others have suggested, I'm wondering if they look at Stiggers as a safety....
    • It's suggested that he switches to a safety role in the NFL. Safety is a need which makes total sense for us as a talented, young 22 year old CFL standout to develop/backup our safety position. With his back story and then his "off the couch" meteoric rise to such a high level in Canada I see him as a fearless quick learner that adjusts quickly who was born with outstanding natural abilities. All he needs is experience... Strengths Well-built, proportional frame. Loose hips with fluid movement in space. Playmaking instincts come naturally for him. Twitchy accelerator to close out targets. Ball skills stand out on tape. Weaknesses Inexperienced and needs time to learn coverages. Technique gets away from him on transitions. Very limited reps working from press in the Canadian Football League. Needs to improve tackling technique in run support.
    • Pure speculation on my part after today: 1) we picked up and extra 3rd round pick in the 2025 draft 2) we traded JFM in a salary dump trade 3) we drafted 2 RBs when we already had Breece and drafted Izzy last year. 4) 49ers drafted 2 WRs Smells like something is up for a possible trade. Not sure if would be with the 49ers or another team.
